Let’s Go and Stay began as a vision in 2015 when local entrepreneur Eric Fulton moved to Culpeper. After purchasing his first home downtown, he became immersed in the energy of the community and quickly noticed a pattern—many historic homes were abandoned, deteriorating, or simply underutilized, all within blocks of the bustling downtown district.

At the same time, Culpeper’s hotels were booked solid most weekends from April through October, primarily for destination weddings. Travelers coming to experience the town’s rich history, battlefields, and charm were often staying outside the downtown area, missing out on the full Culpeper experience.

With a background in luxury hotel management and business development, Eric, along with his business partner (and now wife) Tabatha, saw an opportunity. They began purchasing and revitalizing downtown properties—turning them into unique, high-quality accommodations designed to attract travelers with disposable income. The goal was simple: bring visitors directly into downtown, encourage them to shop, dine, and explore within walking distance, and send them home raving about their incredible Culpeper experience.

Over the years, Let’s Go and Stay has transformed numerous properties, welcomed thousands of guests, and driven millions of dollars into the local economy. Nearly 90% of the company’s profits have been reinvested into Culpeper, funding local projects and supporting unique businesses like Botanical Dwellings and Fulton Found.

The Future of Let’s Go and Stay

In 2025, Let’s Go and Stay is evolving. The company is shifting its mission to focus entirely on strengthening and promoting downtown Culpeper’s economy. This means:

• Selling assets in surrounding counties to reinvest directly in downtown business development

• Spearheading marketing campaigns to elevate Culpeper as a premier destination

• Transitioning from a real estate model to an angel investment and community growth initiative

With a pledge of $2 million for 2025-2026, Let’s Go and Stay is doubling down on its commitment to making downtown Culpeper thrive—ensuring it remains a vibrant, sustainable, and unforgettable place for both visitors and locals alike.
